About the position
Klang is seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Designer to join our team and play a critical role in the development of SEED, our ambitious life-simulation virtual world.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and seamless user experiences for our players. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and programmers, to ensure that our game’s user interfaces are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with our design vision.
What you will do:
- Design and develop innovative user interfaces, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that support player needs and enhance the overall user experience in SEED.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system that includes reusable UI components, visual styles, and interaction patterns, ensuring consistency across all game features and platforms in SEED.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and programmers, to ensure successful implementation and iteration of UX/UI design features.
- Create clear and concise UX/UI documentation, including journey maps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, to effectively communicate design concepts and requirements to the team.
- Analyze game data, usability testing results, and player feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in user experience and interface design.
- Mentor and guide junior UX designers, sharing your expertise and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a cutting-edge understanding of UX design principles and techniques.
- Participate in regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to help shape the future direction of the game.
Who we think will be a great fit:
- 5+ years of experience in UX & UI Design, with a focus on PC or cross-platform games.
- Successfully shipped games.
- Proficient in UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator or equivalents.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Passion for creating engaging and meaningful player experiences.
Bonus:
- Experience working on virtual worlds, life-simulation, or sandbox games.
- Experience with UI Animation and player interaction design.
- Proficiency in graphic design.
- Experience with Unity.
- Experience with web and mobile UI design.
- Knowledge of user research methods and analysis.
