We are currently looking for a QA Director to help us deliver our game Seed and its mobile companion app.
This is a super exciting chance to take the helm of our QA team and drive its leadership, nurture the team towards their growth goals and help to define what QA will look like at Klang in the future.
Summary
You would report to the Head of Production as discipline leader for all QA Testers, along with being ultimately accountable that all bugs are reported and QA processes are kept up to date and constantly improved upon.
The QA team are a super fun, diverse group of people that love working in a collaborative and supportive environment.You would take the leadership of this incredible team and help to continue to deepen the culture of trust, team-work and fun.
You would be encouraged to implement new ways of thinking, processes and attitudes to how the QA team approaches their work.
You will essentially play a huge role in our ability to launch Seed on time and within budget!
This is a permanent position and we are open to hiring this position remotely or at our Head office in Berlin.
What you will do
- Acting as discipline leader and people manager for a team of QA Testers, helping to grow the team in terms of quality and skill set.
- Documenting and iterating upon our current QA processes and Test Scripts.
- Checking and improving on the quality of all our testing, making sure all bugs are in the database.
- Managing outsourcing companies for penetration and compatibility testing.
- Helping to organise large external playtests with customers.
- Bringing the latest QA Automation techniques into the company.
Who we think will be a great fit
- 8+ years total of game development experience with 5 years as QA Director
- Shipped at least 2 AAA PC titles on a major platform.
- Experience communicating across all levels in an organisation.
- Experience of the latest QA Automation techniques.
